Title: Consumer Directed Personal Care Assistant (CDPCA)
Reports to: OARS Service Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing personal care services (assistance with activities of daily living, non-skilled nursing procedures and limited housekeeping services) according to specified plan to customers at risk for or experiencing a disability.
1. Ability to implement services as planned in partnership with families, and other team members.
2. Has strong communication skills with diverse populations including; families, customers, team members and the public.
3. Contributes to the professional reputation of the agency.
Must have high school diploma or GED. Must be 18 years or older. All applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check under state regulations. The ability to obtain the First Aid and CPR certification within one month of being hired.

Function: Adheres to agency policies, procedures, as well as Personal Care Regulations.

a) Locates and refers to agency policy manual and/or Personal Care Regulations.
b) Asks for clarification regarding policies/procedures/regulations from supervisor.
c) Complies with all agency policies and procedures as well as Personal Care Regulations.
