Summary:

Make a difference in the lives of children, adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities, or seniors! Full-time and part-time positions with day, night and weekend shift options. Services may include teaching skills, providing guidance and structure, personal care, household chores, transportation, and providing respite for the primary caregiver. Customers served include children and adults experiencing intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities or severe emotional disturbances, and seniors experiencing a level of a disability that causes them to be at risk of having to be institutionalized.  Services occur in the home, community, employment and school environments.

Emergency Family Support Specialist

Program: Senior and Disability Services
Location: Ketchikan, Prince of Wales
Summary:

This is a temporary position in response to the Covid-19 crisis. Under this description, a family member of a current Community Connections client in the Senior and Disabilities Services program can be hired to work directly with their own family member. This position is responsible for participating as a team member implementing individual service plans with a child or adult.  Duties may include teaching skills, providing guidance and structure, personal care, household chores, transportation, and providing respite for the primary caregiver. Individuals served include children and adults experiencing intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities or seniors experiencing a level of a disability that causes them to be at risk of having to be institutionalized.  Services occur in the home, community, and employment environments.  All Community Connections Employees are expected to contribute to the professional reputation of the agency through understanding and promoting the organization’s mission and core values in all aspects of services
