Stellar Staff – Rebecca

Rebecca supports children and families as they navigate social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

Rebecca joined Community Connections about a year and a half ago. Originally from California, she moved to Ketchikan three years ago and is planning on staying here for a while.

Rebecca has always enjoyed working with people and connecting with them on a personal level. As a Child and Family Therapist at Community Connections, she supports children as they navigate social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She says it’s a privilege to be a part of the family’s growth, and just to have the opportunity to be involved with their lives.

“She has been an absolute rock during the pandemic and has continued to serve youth and families with great care and concern,” says Max Mercer, who oversees Children’s Mental Health services.

In her free time, Rebecca spends time with her family and is going to school for a doctorate in psychology.

Thanks Rebecca, for everything you do for the families in our community!

We feature staff as part of our monthly Stellar Staff Spotlight. The spotlight rotates between programs (Children’s Mental Health, Early Learning, and Senior & Disability Services), and between Ketchikan and Prince of Wales, with a focus on recognizing direct service staff.
