Treatment parents provide intensive oversight and facilitate behavioral interventions for youths experiencing a severe emotional disturbance, all within their own family home. This position works closely with Community Connections staff to create a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages the growth of youths placed in their care.
Ideal families include those with experience working with challenging behaviors, educators, families with one stay at home parent, those who can demonstrate commitment and persistence in the face of challenging situations and those interested in working with older elementary through teenagers. Must be able to pass a background check, have a current driver’s license and insurance, complete and maintain training, provide family transportation and complete an extensive screening and home study.
Parents are paid tax free stipends to work intensively with therapeutic foster children to build skills, increase positive behaviors, and work on treatment goals. We will license and train qualified families who complete our extensive screening, licensing and training process. Contact us and ask for the foster care coordinator.
