Regular, full time employees and their dependents.

The 1st of the month, after 30 days from the start date of employment.

PPO Plan, HSA Plan, Dental/Vision Plan – Employees pay a portion of the premium based on the coverage selected. This plan allows premiums to be paid on a pretax basis, before federal and state taxes are deducted. Participants in the HSA Plan receive a company contribution of $200/mo to their Tongass Federal Credit Union HSA account. Staff are required to open an HSA account at Tongass Federal Credit Union prior to receiving their first payroll check.

Health Waiver

Regular, full time employees who are covered under another medical plan.

1st of months after 30 days from date of employment.

You will be contacted by HR prior to your eligibility date to complete paperwork, even if you are electing to decline coverage.

If eligibility criteria are met and the employee waives Community Connections health care coverage, employee can receive a monthly stipend of $325.

Paid Leave

Regular, full time employees.

Work full time each pay period for entire six month probationary period or upon completion of six month probationary period and pass working 1040 hours.

Paid leave is activated by payroll after meeting the coverage waiting period. Leave balances appear on your pay stub once activated.

4 weeks in first year and an additional 1 day for each year of service up to a max accrual of 6 weeks per year.

Paid Holidays

Regular, full time employees. Full time hours must be worked in the pay period of the holiday to be eligible.

Eligible employees will receive holiday pay upon hire.

In general, Community Connections observes 11 paid holidays.

The Standard : This portal is your online access to the administration of your retirement plan.

All employees

401k: Eligible to make contributions upon hire. After 1 year of service and 1,000 hours, eligible to receive employer match; 100% of the first 6% of an employee’s contribution. You will have a 100% vested and non-forfeitable interest in your account after 5 years of vesting service.

403b: Eligible employees can make elective deferrals upon hire. There is no employer match. You will have a fully vested and non-forfeitable interest in your account immediately.

Roth contributions allow you to contribute on an after-tax basis. Elective Deferral contributions allow you to contribute on a pretax basis, before federal income taxes are deducted.

Employee Scholarship Program

Current, active, full-time employees who have completed their new hire probationary period as well as long-term (5+ years) part-time employees. Employee performance will be taken into account. No formal disciplinary action within the last year

Course work from an accredited university must either be related to the employee’s current job or prepare the employee for a potential future role at Community Connections.
