JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the CMH Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor will provide leadership and direction for the application of wrap-a-round, trauma informed, and family centered therapeutic practices throughout the Children’s Mental Health program. The position works in close collaboration with the CMH leadership team to ensure the implementation of therapeutic practices consistent with the program philosophy. The position requires excellent abilities in leading a team, problem solving and managing complex situations. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Supervises Child and Family Therapists.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs supervisory functions for direct reports: interviews, provides ongoing training and support, conducts performance reviews, initiates staff recognition, and addresses performance issues and concerns;
- Leads the clinical team through coaching, support and training from a wrap-a-round based, family centered, and trauma informed perspective;
- Provides engaging, collaborative, culturally competent, and respectful clinical services in a manner consistent with the philosophy of Children’s Mental Health and Medicaid compliance requirements to a caseload of 10-12;
- Facilitates regular staff meetings in coordination with other program leadership;
- Manages the admission of individuals into services;
- Designs and implements effective systems for training staff throughout the program;
- Manages program relationships with community collaborators including but not limited to schools, Division of Juvenile Justice and Office of Children Services, among others;
- Provides clinical services in compliance with Medicaid requirements and in a manner consistent with the philosophy of the Children’s Mental Health program;
- Completes timely, accurate and Medicaid compliant documentation of the provision of services;
- Coordinates with the Prince of Wales therapeutic program in providing clinical care, training and supervision consistent with program philosophy and serves as their backup.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a field directly related to children’s mental health counseling and two years’ community mental health and/or professional experience working with children.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check under agency guidelines and state regulations.
REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Professionally Licensed with the State of Alaska.
A valid Alaska driver’s license and liability insurance. Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR and MANDT certification.
PREFERRED
- Two years’ supervisory experience;
- Professional Counselor Supervisor Certificate with the State of Alaska.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The position is office and community based and generally sedentary in nature. Services are often provided in community and recreational settings, must be able to adequately engage with clients in moderate activity. Must be able to use standard office equipment, lift and carry materials weighing up to fifteen pounds. Must be able to travel to Prince of Wales for one week at a time, 9-12 months per year to provide in-person supervision to Child & Family Therapists.

Pay: $70,699.20 – $84,418.54/annual DOE
