We’re excited to recognize Marti Crutcher as our Stellar Staff honoree! Marti joined Community Connections in January of 2021, shortly after moving to Alaska. While settling into her new home in Craig, she spotted a job posting on Facebook. Something about the position and the organization’s mission resonated with her immediately. She applied, and we’ve been lucky to have her ever since. One part of Marti’s position that she thoroughly enjoys is problem solving. She thrives on helping staff navigate issues in CareLogic, offering support, corrections, and solutions that keep workflows running smoothly. Knowing that her work directly makes her colleagues’ jobs easier is both motivating and fulfilling for her.

Of course, with a busy role comes a busy inbox. Marti shares that her biggest challenge is managing the constant flow of emails and tasks that come her way. To stay on top of it all, she focuses on organization and consistency making sure nothing important slips through the cracks.

Outside of work, Marti is endlessly creative and always exploring something new. She enjoys gardening, cooking, photography, and diving into whatever craft happens to catch her interest at the moment and lately, that includes candle making and weaving.

Marti grew up primarily in Montana, with chapters of her life also spent in Ohio and West Virginia. For the past five years, she’s made Alaska her home.
