Family Infant Toddler Court Team

The Family-Infant-Toddler Court Team brings together families, agencies, and services providers, to find and support permanent family placements for children in state custody. The team can include the child’s family and friends, attorneys, Guardian Ad litem (GAL), Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) workers, Office of Children’s Services (OCS) social workers, Early Learning Program developmental specialists, and parenting support specialists.

This is an innovative, strength-based approach that is grounded by honesty and respect. Our local judges and attorneys hold status hearings monthly to support consistent progress towards permanency for the child. The program utilizes many resources to support frequent and meaningful visits between the parent and child and builds a feeling of camaraderie between families, social workers, and community partners.
