Our Stellar Staff member for October recently surpassed 14 years with Community Connections!
Jessica Mills Clark, a Developmental Specialist III in our Early Learning Program, works with children from 0 to 3 and their families to develop the child’s skills. She is also involved with the Family Infant Toddler Court Team (FIT Team), where she works with families with children under 3 in state’s custody to help them find permanency quicker.
While working as a recruiter at the hospital, Jessica got to know Laurie Thomas, the Community Connections executive director at the time. One thing led to another.
“I’ve had a lot of different jobs, but the common theme for most of them has been working with families and I wanted to get back into working with families,” Jessica said. “This was a super good, family friendly job. That was probably the main attractor for me.”
ELP Director Brynn Bolling described as a dedicated early childhood professional.
“She goes the extra mile in supporting families, and she is team player,” Brynn said. “We love having Jessica on our team.”
In her free time, Jessica picks berries when they’re in season, takes pictures of mushrooms, and volunteers as a DJ at KRBD.
Thank you, Jessica, for all you do!
We feature staff as part of our monthly Stellar Staff Spotlight. The spotlight rotates between programs (Children’s Mental Health, Early Learning, and Senior & Disability Services), and between Ketchikan and Prince of Wales, with a focus on recognizing direct service staff.
