Community Connections Encourages Alaskans to Support Local Non-Profits Through Pick.Click.Give.
As the Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) application season opens, Community Connections is excited to remind Alaskans about the opportunity to support local non-profits through the Pick.Click.Give. program. This initiative allows residents to donate a portion of their PFD to causes they care about, making a significant impact on the community.
Community Connections is proud to be a part of this program and encourages everyone to consider making a donation. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue our mission in providing individualized, customer-guided supports that encourage independence, community belonging and quality of life.

Everyone has the right to live in the community of their choice.
That’s why we’re here. Our services help with developing independence, learning new skills and living in the community of one’s choice.
We serve individuals with developmental disabilities, adults with physical disabilities, elders, very young children who are developmentally delayed or at risk, and children with behavioral health needs.
We are a nonprofit human service organization, and have served southern southeast Alaska for over 30 years.
For families of children aged birth to three years with developmental delays or who are “at risk” of developing delays.
Comprehensive mental health services for children and their families in the home and community.
For individuals with developmental disabilities and seniors who require assistance to remain in their community of choice and with achieving their life goals.

2024 - The 12th Annual Holiday Sock Drive
Thank you to all who donated and worked hard throughout the years on our annual Holiday Sock Drive! We received many donations with the help of great partners in town. Click here to see what you can do to help out!
With your support we have continued to make a difference in the lives of children, seniors, and adults with disabilities. We have been able to serve many, many individuals throughout our programs in Ketchikan and on Prince of Wales Island. Donations truly brighten the days of those in our community. From cash contributions to donated clothing, hand-knitted hats and homemade cookies, each of these items bring joy to those in need. We are grateful for your partnership! 2022 - The 10th Annual Holiday Sock Drive
Thank you to all who donated and worked hard this holiday season to make our 10th annual Holiday Sock Drive a success! We received more donations than ever before, and we formed incredibly beneficial partnerships with other organizations in town.
With your support we have continued to make a difference in the lives of children, seniors, and adults with disabilities. In total we were able to serve 200 individuals throughout our programs in Ketchikan and on Prince of Wales Island. Donations truly brightened the days of those in our community. From cash contributions to donated clothing, hand-knitted hats and homemade cookies, each of these items brought joy to those in need. We are grateful for your partnership!

Are you in crisis?
Ketchikan CARES is available to anyone in the community of Ketchikan who may be experiencing mental health difficulties like depression, anxiety, bullying, abuse, suicidal ideation and school stress.

General Orientation
Learn about agency history, who we are and what we do, the organizational structure, our mission, the core values, culture, confidentiality, required reporting, and incident reporting.
New employees of Community Connections are required to attend the agency’s General Orientation, generally happening once every two months, depending on the amount of new hires.

First Aid / CPR
Community Connections offers classes to our employees, contractors and the public. First Aid and CPR certification is a requirement of most Community Connections job positions. As such, the agency provides certified trainers who conduct American Red Cross First Aid/CPR classes on a monthly basis.

The Standard : This portal is your online access to the administration of your retirement plan.
All employees
401k: Eligible to make contributions upon hire. After 1 year of service and 1,000 hours, eligible to receive employer match; 100% of the first 6% of an employee’s contribution. You will have a 100% vested and non-forfeitable interest in your account after 5 years of vesting service.
403b: Eligible employees can make elective deferrals upon hire. There is no employer match. You will have a fully vested and non-forfeitable interest in your account immediately.

Roth contributions allow you to contribute on an after-tax basis. Elective Deferral contributions allow you to contribute on a pretax basis, before federal income taxes are deducted.
