Patty Elliott

Welcome back!

A former occupational therapist returns to Community Connections

Patty Elliott first came to work for Community Connections in the late 1980s and, after some time away, we were happy to welcome her back on a full-time basis in early August!

As an occupational therapist in the Early Learning Program, Patty helps children from 0 to 3 work on childhood occupations including playing, sleeping, and interacting with family.

“If there’s a delay in any of those areas, then that’s where I help the team and we overlap our expertise,” Patty said. “The whole goal is that the delay would be minimized by the time they get to school.”

ELP Program Director Bynn Bolling said it’s great to have Patty back.

“Families appreciate Patty’s sincerity, her dedication to family goals, and her extensive knowledge in child development and motor skills/strategies,” she added.

While Patty has worked in schools, working with the ELP population is her first love and she wanted to come back to the program once her children graduated.

“So years ago I continued on to get my Masters in Early Childhood Special Education,” she said. “I am thrilled to be back!”
