Behind the scenes at 721 Stedman Street, the administrative team is secretly at work, processing sky-high stacks of paperwork at light speed. One of the team members, Angela de Mello, is our Stellar Staff for February! Angela coordinates accounts payable and makes sure everything is ship-shape.
“There isn’t a lot that I can control in my life, but I can make sure paperwork is in order!” she says.
Angela originally came to Community Connections to receive services for her daughter, and decided to work here as well. So far she’s been here 2 years.
“I stayed… because of the heart for people that I saw in my coworkers.”
In her free time, Angela plays hockey with Ketchikan’s Special Olympics team, cares for her family, and attends online courses at UAS.
Thanks for all that you do Angela!!
We feature staff as part of our monthly Stellar Staff Spotlight. The spotlight rotates between programs (Children’s Mental Health, Early Learning, and Senior & Disability Services), and between Ketchikan and Prince of Wales, with a focus on recognizing direct service staff.
